<ブーツの経年変化の楽しみ方について>
I don’t know if this is the right way to say this but the aging-deterioration is not something you aim for. In a word, more like “a result” in my opinion. I take it granted for the boot lovers to make their boots look good by aging and that is how they should be, but to make them like aged on purposely is not the right way I suppose.In my opinion, to be wrapped about it too much could spoil the real meanings and essences of how we enjoy them. This may be different story from the dress shoes or others, but the original meaning of aging is definitely a result of how you have wore and mended since you have purchased and started to wear them on. With some damages can be in better appearance. Neglecting the mending causes changes correspondingly, while the perfect mendings can not make them change how you really want and this is what all about. To accept the result which reflects directly how you have got along with it is the most enjoyable thing about it and this casualness is the attractive point of the boots.
もちろん経年変化によって、いい表情を出したいというのはブーツ好きな方にとっては当然なことですし、そこがブーツの真骨頂だと思います。ただ、「目的」にしてしまうと、あえてのエイジングをかけたり、無理な負荷をかけてしまったり等々してしまうというのが違うのかなと思っています。逆に気にしすぎるあまり、本来のブーツの特性を活かせないブーツの履き方はなんとなく違うのかなと。ドレスシューズとかはもちろん違う考え方がありますけど。経年変化の本来の意味では、あくまでも購入してから履き続けて、時にはお手入れしてあげて、また履き続けてという、その「結果」だと思います。
傷が付いたらそれも味。お手入れを怠けたらそれなりの変化をしますし、丁寧にお手入れしたからと言って好みの変化になるとも限らないですし、自分と共に歩んだ「結果」がストレートに表現され、それを受け入れる事が一番の楽しみ方だと思います。
それくらいのカジュアルさがブーツの魅力でもあると思っています。
It won’t have much difference even though the type of leather is different, for suede leather I use the suede brush to brush off the dust, raising and finishing them up with the waterproof spray. I also use what they called “BLUE STICK” a kind of heavy-duty cleaner and this really works!! but personally I normally don’t use these kinds of cleaners so often.
よほどの汚れが付いてしまった場合はブルースティックという石けんを使って汚れを落としています。これ、めちゃくちゃ落ちるんですよ！笑。
個人的にはクリーナーを使う事は、あまり無いですね。
To say ,in a good sense, not to be so stoical. rub off the stains and dirts with cleaners by brushing as usual,rub creams for nuturition. I think this is the best way for leathers to be mend not every day but when they need to be in a rough style. What I think is, not in the bad way, you shouldn’t ware the casual boots so neatly as dress shoes. Recently, I grease my boots and brush them up before going out. It’s no good you don’t care much about it but also to be too much concious. What is important is to keep up mending them in your own extent and that will make your boots as your own styled ones.
ブラッシングをしてあげて、オーソドックスにクリーナーで汚れを落として、革のクリームを塗ってあげて栄養補給してあげる事。それを、毎日じゃなくても気づいたらササッとやってあげるのが革には一番良いと思います。カジュアルなブーツは特にドレスシューズと違って、そこまで綺麗に履き続ける事は必要ではないかなと思います。悪い意味ではなく。
最近では出かける前に、羊毛油をつけて、ブラッシングしてそのまま出かけます。
気にしなさ過ぎるのは問題ですが、気にし過ぎることはないと思います。ブーツですから。
大切なのは、自分のペースで自分の出来る範囲内でお手入れしてあげる事。
それが自分だけのブーツになっていくはずです。
Well, in the starting point, it was not so much for the boots but the soccer shoes that I tend to polish them when I was a little. Since then I examined all the specs of the soccer shoes especially for checking up all kinds of leather which was used and to search the best way for polishing acording to the leather which has used. whan I was an age of primary, my idea of being a shoe polisher for a job in the future had gradually became strong as I grow up. The boots had become a trend for the fashions in my youth and I just got in to it. Just recognized how cool the ambered boots by aged deteriration was and stuffed my boots with my dad’s shoe polish but good memory for me now though Of course I like custom boots and having a chance visting the factories for my job and when I see their proccesses of being a boots, it made me to think of getting new pairs and I actually did att once when I saw the worker rubbering manually in the factory in London.
お手入れの原点としては、子供の頃から自分のサッカーのスパイクを磨くのが大好きだったんですよ。
それに、当時からアイテムのスペックを調べるのが大好きで、色んな革がスパイクには使われているので全部調べて、その革に合った磨き方を考えていました。小学生の頃から。大きくなるにつれて、靴磨きを職業に出来ないかなと思いが強くなっていきました。
元々そんな子供だった僕が、ブーツが流行って来た時にまさに青春時代を迎えたので、一気にハマっていきました。
先輩のブーツでカッコ良く飴色に経年変化したブーツを見てかっこいいと思い、自分のブーツに親父の靴墨を塗って大失敗した事もありました。苦笑。今ではいい思い出ですが。
オーダーで作るブーツももちろん好きですし、仕事柄、工場に行かせてもらう機会もあるので製作工程などを見て欲しくなる事もあります。先日もロンドンの工場で、おじいさんがラバーを手作業で巻いているのをみて即買いしました。
